У роботі проаналізовано історію виникнення поняття сталого розвитку, зауважено основні принципи сталого розвитку. Вивчено, узагальнено й систематизовано підходи різних наукових думок до визначення поняття «сталий розвиток». Використовуючи досвід вітчизняних та закордонних вчених щодо трактування поняття сталого розвитку, визначено власне бачення сутності поняття, дано визначення поняттю «сталий розвиток підприємства». Проаналізовано концептуальні основи теорії сталого розвитку, які вбачають поєднання певних базових складових. У роботі наведено характеристику вищезгаданих складових сталого розвитку з погляду підприємства: економічної, соціальної, екологічної. Виявлено основні фактори, як впливають на сталий розвиток промислового підприємства.
