У статті окреслено стан та проблемні питання розвитку ринку праці України спираючись на статистичні дослі-дження у контексті професійно-кваліфікаційних тенденцій. Розглянуто основні причини що призвели до збільшення вільної робочої сили. Проаналізовано стан робочої сили, попит на ринку праці та зміни в динаміці зайнятості за секторами еко-номіки. На підставі проведеного аналізу здійснено прогноз рівня зайнятості населення України, попиту на ринку праці за пріоритетними професійними та кваліфікованими групами на майбутні 5 років. Визначено перспективні сектори еконо-міки, де очікується зростання та можливий спад зайнятості. Запропоновано здійснювати статистичний аналіз та визна-чати основні тенденції на ринку праці під час формування держзамовлення з боку держави та у разі формування переваг у виборі професій із боку населення в перспективі на 5-7 років, що дасть змогу частково розв'язати проблеми зайнятості та безробіття, забезпечивши підприємства потрібною робочою силою.
