Статтю присвячено правовому регулюванню криптовалют у контексті сучасних глобальних тенденцій. Акцентовано на характеристиці напрямів актуальної державної політики США та Китаю, що дає змогу прогнозувати тенденції подальшого розвитку ринку криптовалют з погляду його регулювання й нагляду за діяльністю учасників. Досліджено сучасні процеси включення криптоактивів у фінансову систему США, а також рішення китайського уряду Китаю із розроблення власної криптовалюти і створення відповідної моделі адміністрування, яка на відміну від класичної децентралізованої моделі передбачає всебічний і суворий контроль з боку регуляторних органів. У статті зроблено висновок про необхідність налагодження міжнародного співробітництва та гармонізацію правових норм, що дасть змогу забезпечити належний рівень прозорості світового ринку криптовалют, а також захист прав та інтересів його учасників.
