The theoretical basis for organizing management control of the aviation industry has been explored, the problems of basic approaches to methods for ensuring effective management control of airports and airlines have been exposed, and recommendations have been made to eliminate any deficiencies that have been identified. The paper considers various approaches of scientists regarding the methodology of building effective management control at the enterprise. The main reason for the existing contradictions in the study of the essence of management control of the enterprise and the lack of a single theoretical basis was determined. The problem is that general scientific approaches do not take into account the individual characteristics of the enterprise and its organizational structure. A study of the mechanism of regulatory and legal regulation of management control of the enterprise was carried out. Some aspects of ensuring the effective functioning of management control are considered. The main directions of development of management control at airports and airlines are scientifically grounded, and the methodology for their implementation is characterized. In order to ensure the high efficiency of the practical application of the methods described in the work, they should be applied comprehensively, after conducting a preliminary assessment of their effectiveness with mandatory consideration of the individual characteristics of the enterprise and its structure. When conducting foreign economic activities, management control approaches and methods must take into account the peculiarities of the environment in which the enterprise operates, and apply exactly those methods that ensure maximum efficiency. The construction of an effective system of management control of the aviation industry during the implementation of foreign economic activity will become an integral and necessary condition for successful development. True management control will ensure the overall positive dynamics of the aviation industry.
