У статті проаналізовано зміст та значення максимальної економії, ефективності та пропорційності як принципів здійснення публічних закупівель. Обґрунтовано важливість вказаного принципу та його першість серед інших принципів здійснення публічних закупівель. У дослідженні висвітлено суперечливі моменти співвідношення максимальної економії та ефективності, обґрунтовано доцільність та можливість їх гармонізації та порівняння. Розкрито практичні аспекти реалізації максимальної економії та ефективності при здійсненні публічних закупівель. Доведено функціональне значення та місце пропорційності по відношенню до максимальної економії та ефективності.
