У статті розглянуто наукові підходи до оцінки висновку експерта, особливості визнання висновків експерта належним, допустимим та достовірним доказом. Визначено, що оцінювання висновку експерта – один з етапів діяльності з формування висновку експерта як доказу, у ході та в результаті якого визначається, у суті, його доказова сила; належність висновку експерта визначається його змістом, вона обумовлює придатність висновку служити засобом встановлення обставин, що мають значення для кримінального провадження; допустимість висновку експерта визначається переважно дотриманням процесуального порядку та вимог із провадження судових експертиз; достовірність висновку експерта визначається повнотою та правильністю змістовного й наукового підходів, які застосовує експерт під час встановлення конкретного факту під час експертного дослідження.
