Ефективне використання природних ресурсів постмайнінгових територій та об’єктів передбачає організацію обґрунтованої ліквідації гірничодобувних підприємств, проведення рекультивації і ревіталізації земель, використання залишкових ресурсів мінеральної сировини, розроблення і вторинне перероблення гірничопромислових відходів, реорганізацію виробництва на вивільнених і новозбудованих об’єктах, створення рекреаційних зон та об’єктів природно-заповідного фонду, розвиток активного туризму та застосування відновлюваної енергетики. Розглянуто специфіку впровадження оптимізаційних заходів в межах Західного регіону України.
