У статті досліджено проблеми, пов'язані з недосконалістю сучасного механізму примусового виконання судових рішень в Україні, що призводить до низької ефективності виконання рішень державними та приватними виконавцями. Проаналізовано основні аспекти судового контролю, зокрема практику судів, які видали виконавчі документи, та адміністративних судів у розгляді скарг на дії виконавців. Окрему увагу приділено позасудовому контролю, який здійснюється Міністерством юстиції, та проблемам, що виникають у зв’язку з позбавленням боржників права звертатися за таким контролем.
