У статті висвітлено сучасні правові проблеми застосування контрзаходів як виду міжнародної відповідальності. Серед правових проблем, які потребують невідкладного вирішення правовою наукою та практикою у статті наведено: формування сучасної концепції контрзаходів у міжнародному праві з врахуванням відповідної часу мети їх застосування відносно держави-порушниці; побудова так званої «дорожньої карти» застосування контрзаходів; застосування контрзаходів у кіберпросторі та застосування колективних контрзасобів. Обґрунтовано застосування контрзаходів як способу стимулювання держави-порушниці до виконання взятих на неї перед міжнародною спільнотою зобов’язань.
