У статті зроблено спробу визначити засади міжнародно-правового регулювання застосування сатисфакції як форми політичної відповідальності в міжнародному праві. Проаналізовано: теоретичні положення щодо міжнародно-правового регулювання застосування сатисфакції як однієї із форм політичної відповідальності згідно з міжнародним правом, чотири форми сатисфакції, які вивів відомий дослідник Patrick Dumberry з Університету Оттава, а також розроблений комісією міжнародного права ООН проєкт статей про відповідальність держав за міжнародно-протиправні діяння (прийнятий резолюцією A/RES/56/83 Генеральної Асамблеї ООН). Розглянуто практику Міжнародного суду ООН стосовно ординарної сатисфакції. Розглянуто приклад впровадження надзвичайної сатисфакції в міжнародному праві.
