Статтю присвячено аналізу особливостей правового регулювання договірних відносин у сфері міжнародних змішаних перевезень вантажів в міжнародному приватному праві. У дослідженні акцентовано увагу на ключовій ролі предмета перевезення як істотної умови договору міжнародного змішаного перевезення вантажу. Розкрито значення вантажної ємності як фактичного предмета договору міжнародного змішаного перевезення та актуалізовано питання стосовно впливу різних підходів до перевантаження на класифікацію змішаних перевезень – мультимодальні, інтермодальні та комбіновані. Висвітлено необхідність гармонізації національного законодавства з міжнародними стандартами.
