Узагальнено дефініції реструктуризації кредитної заборгованості банківських установ, що надано у декількох нормативно-правових актах, обґрунтовано власну дефініцію. Визначено об’єкти, суб’єкти, форми реструктуризації кредитної заборгованості. Визначено сутність фінансової реструктуризації як позасудової процедури шляхом переговорів між позичальником, його пов’язаними особами та залученими кредиторами. Діагностовано умови участі позичальника у фінансовій реструктуризації, формалізовано механізми її ініціації і проведення. Охарактеризовано обов’язки позичальника в частині розробки і реалізації плану реструктуризації.
