Статтю присвячено наднаціональному характеру права Європейського Союзу (ЄС). Розглянуто різні підходи до поняття «наднаціональність» та проаналізовано її ознаки. Авторами зазначено, що наднаціональна характеристика права ЄС реалізується через діяльність його інститутів та здійснення ними повноважень у сферах, що охоплюються різними видами компетенцій. Акцентовано увагу на принципі верховенства права ЄС та його ролі у забезпеченні єдності та стабільності правової системи ЄС. Доведено, що пряма дія норм права ЄС встановлює найбільш вигідну для досягнення цілей Союзу взаємодію національного права держав-членів із наднаціональним правом.
