Research of the European lending system as a way for the establishment of opening European educational process

The article deals with the European Credit Transfer System, its development and ways to improve it. The European Higher Education Area is being explored and its main objectives and functions are being considered as well as aspects to be considered for the implementation of the Bologna Process. The strategy of European integration, the positive and negative sides of this process, ways of implementation are analyzed. A system of academic credits similar to the ECTS provided by the Bologna Declaration is presented. Further actions formulated to achieve the goals of the Bologna Process. Research of development and justification of the implementation of the system of credits transfer in higher education institutions, as well as determining the directions of its improvement, formulating proposals to achieve the objectives of the Bologna process, which will contribute to improving the efficiency of training of future specialists, are not only relevant but also necessary. The purpose of the study is to study the European Credit Transfer System. Research on the European Higher Education Area. Analysis of European integration strategy and ways of its implementation. A study of the ECTS-like academic credit system provided for in the Bologna Declaration. Formulating further actions to achieve the objectives of the Bologna Process. The advantages of the Bologna Process are: increased availability of European higher education; the success of employment in obtaining a degree or qualification focused on the labor market; mobility of students and teachers internationally; the possibility of a higher education institution to receive project funding from European structures. It is also necessary to highlight the shortcomings of the Bologna Process: the lack of information support for the goals of the Bologna Process; confusion between training programs; lack of implementation of some innovations in the practical part; lowering the overall level of higher education by targeting narrow specialists; complication of the process of entering the magistracy. Thus, studies of the European Credit Transfer System prove that for Ukraine its implementation has contributed to the recognition of Ukrainian diplomas at the international level, greater mobility in the European space for students and teachers, joint education and implementation of search projects with European universities, competitiveness of the world and European labor market.
