Introduction. The current stage of economic development is characterized by intensive processes of digitalization and the growing role of information technologies in ensuring the competitiveness of enterprises. This leads to the emergence of new forms of entrepreneurial activity, among which intellectual business occupies a special place. The purpose of the paper is to determinate the factors influencing the effectiveness of the creation and development of intellectual business in social networks, as well as outlining problems and prospects for overcoming them in the modern digital environment. Results. The essence and main aspects of the development of intellectual business as a specific type of entrepreneurial activity based on knowledge, innovation and critical thinking are considered. The key characteristics of such a business are described, among which the following can be identified: small scale of activity, use of intangible resources (experience, knowledge, information). Particular attention is paid to the role of social networks as a tool for the creation and development of intellectual business, which provide an opportunity to promote products, attract customers and form a brand. The main stages of creating a business in social networks are identified, which include developing an entrepreneurial idea, forming a strategic plan, using analytical tools to assess effectiveness, and constantly adapting to changes. It is proven that social platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Telegram, and LinkedIn provide access to a wide audience of consumers without using significant financial resources, which contributes to business development. The problems faced by owners of intellectual businesses in social networks are outlined, among which high competition and the need to regularly create high-quality content can be identified. At the same time, the advantages of this form of business are noted, in particular, a low threshold for entry, flexibility, and wide opportunities for growth and scaling. The article emphasizes that success in this area requires a creative approach, understanding the mechanisms of social platforms, and the ability to adapt to changes. Conclusions. There is significant potential for intellectual business in the digital environment, and key strategies are identified that will help entrepreneurs remain competitive in a changing business environment.
