Peculiarities of making business decisions on project management in trading: project analysis, business communications and business ethics

Introduction. Project management is one of the most promising methods of business management in modern conditions, based on a systematic approach and being the base for innovative strategic development. However, the digital and creative economy, industry 4.0 put new demands on project management, that requires improving present approaches and mechanisms to meet the dynamic needs of the present. The purpose of а paper is to determine the specifics of making business decisions on project management in trading within the framework of project analysis, business communication and business ethics for effective business organization in a dynamic environment. Results. The main stages of modern project management are investigated. It has been established that for the purpose of making informed and effective business decisions on project management in trading, it is advisable to pay attention to the need for: project focus; quantitative measurement of all business processes, involved resources; clearly defined time limits for project implementation and single stages of its life cycle; taking into account the peculiarities of business processes; distribution of projects by functional areas. Project analysis lets determine the feasibility of implementation, the viability of a potential project, taking into account factors of the internal and external environments, as well as its impact on the trading company. In project management, the efficiency of business processes is determined by the organization of business communications. The emphasis in managing business projects in trading should be on adherence to the principles of business ethics, for example, by: assessing the environmental and social impacts and impacts of the project on the environment and assessing the social responsibility of the business. Conclusion. Implementation of modern advanced project management approaches at trade enterprises has a strategic impact on ensuring competitive advantages at the market. A key factor in the success of project management is the availability of systematic management, taking into account the latest approaches to economic analysis, communication management, and the principles of business ethics.
