Introduction. In the context of this work, it is emphasized that the analysis of normative changes to the legal framework regarding the sphere of regulation of local self-government in Ukraine is very significant and important. Local self-government and the multifaceted nature of the corresponding concept originates from the fundamental distinction between the categories of state power and public power. The purpose of the paper is to study the amendments to the Law of Ukraine "On Local Self-Government in Ukraine", in terms of the practical implementation of the principles of the activities of local self-government bodies, regulation of the legal status of individual local self-government officials, and analysis of the issues of interaction between local self-government bodies and executive bodies. Results. The Law of Ukraine (hereinafter referred to as the Law of Ukraine) On Amendments to the Law of Ukraine "On Local Self-Government in Ukraine" regarding ensuring the transparency of local self-government dated 02/22/2024 was analyzed. According to this regulatory legal act, the lawmaker implements the principle of transparency in the aspect of recording and storing the record of the plenary session of the council and the standing commissions of the council. The evolution of the institution of the starostat was analyzed in the context of amendments and additions to the Law of Ukraine "On Local Self-Government in Ukraine". The regulatory changes were emphasized, in the context of the implementation of administrative supervision over decisions of local government bodies, in terms of compliance with the principle of legality. Conclusion. An analysis of individual draft laws and amendments to the Law of Ukraine "On Local Self-Government in Ukraine" was carried out in terms of the practical implementation of the principles of the activities of local self-government bodies, regulation of the legal status of individual local self-government officials.
