The paper shows that innovation and investment support is a key aspect for the development of Ukrainian airports, which allows increasing their competitiveness, improving the quality of passenger and cargo service, and contributing to economic development at the local and national levels. In modern conditions, attracting private investment through concessions and public-private partnerships, as well as the introduction of new technologies, is especially important. It has been proven that concessions are an effective tool for attracting private investment to regional airports in Ukraine, which will allow restoring their infrastructure without a significant burden on the state budget. However, it is important to consider potential risks and carefully work out the terms of concession agreements to achieve maximum socio-economic impact for all parties to the agreement. Measures are proposed for the development of airport infrastructure based on the introduction of innovative technologies based on automation and digitalization, the Internet of Things, infrastructure development, security and control. It is proven that investments are a critical factor in ensuring the stable functioning of airports and their further development. The main areas of investment are outlined: attracting private investment, international investment, local investment, investment in personnel. It is shown that for the implementation of innovative and investment support for airport activities it is important to have a clear strategy, which includes: planning infrastructure development, finding financing, introducing new technologies, assessing economic efficiency. The main innovations in the field of airports are substantiated: the development of "smart" airports, security and access control, building activities as hubs for the digital economy. Priorities for innovative and investment support of airport activities are proposed: modernization of airport complexes, environmental friendliness, development of communications and mobile services, creation of hubs for low-cost airlines. It has been proven that investing in the development of regional airports in Ukraine should be a strategic and multifaceted process. Attracting private investors, concession agreements, using international grants, soft loans, as well as integration into European financial and transport systems are the main mechanisms for the effective development of airport infrastructure. In the context of European integration, these mechanisms will help increase the competitiveness of airports, improve the quality of service, and integrate them into the European transport network.
