Introduction. The features of the system for managing the competitiveness of agricultural enterprises are shaped by the specific conditions of the agricultural sector, which plays a strategic role in Ukraine's economy. In the modern context of globalization, economic integration, and heightened competition, enterprises are compelled to seek new approaches to managing competitiveness. This process encompasses a set of measures aimed at ensuring the enterprise's stable market position, optimizing the use of resource potential, and creating added value. The purpose of the paper is to optimize the use of primary resources, including land, labor, financial, and technical assets with the help of the management system. A significant focus is on clarifying the essence of concepts such as system, management system, and enterprise competitiveness management. Results. Agricultural enterprises operate in an environment dominated by natural, economic, and social factors. Production seasonality, dependence on climatic conditions, limited land resources, and long production cycles significantly influence their operational efficiency. In this context, the competitiveness management system must integrate strategic, tactical, and operational decisions to account for both internal resources and external environmental factors. Competitiveness management depends on organizational culture, managerial competence, and the enterprise's ability to respond to external environmental changes. This conclusion follows from the analysis of concepts related to competitiveness management. Special attention should be given to the structural composition of the competitiveness management system in agricultural enterprises. In this regard, product competitiveness is determined not only by quality but also by compliance with environmental standards, certification, and producer reputation. Conclusions. By analyzing scientific approaches to defining the theoretical and substantive characteristics of the competitiveness management system, an authorial definition of this concept has been formulated. It is defined as a set of organizational and management structures interacting based on balanced interconnections in the financial, production, innovation, human resource, and marketing domains of an agricultural enterprise, aimed at enhancing its competitive advantages in the agricultural market over the long term.
