У сучасних умовах розвитку енергетичної системи України особливої актуальності набуває питання впровадження відновлюваних джерел енергії, зокрема вітрової. Водночас розвиток вітрової енергетики потребує глибокого правового та екологічного аналізу, особливо у таких природно цінних регіонах, як Карпати. Розглянуто правові засади регулювання будівництва та функціонування вітрових електростанцій, а також екологічні ризики, пов’язані з їх розміщенням. Проаналізовано недоліки чинного законодавства у сфері охорони навколишнього середовища, землекористування та енергетики, а також запропоновано шляхи гармонізації енергетичної політики з екологічними вимогами.
